Interview/Judging

Last Sunday I went for my interview in Cape Town. Mmm... pretty intimidating walking into a place with my competition starring down my every move but once I got to chat to most of them, including the organizers, I realised they are pretty relaxed and chilled. We all got to meet Mr SA 2010, Denver Burns, whom actually is a judge through the whole process. My session went well or so I believe, the judges didn't hold back and asked the questions most of us didn't expect but that they needed to ask. The judges asked me about my family, my children, work and studies and how I would fit MrSA into my schedule was a main priority on their question list.Easy answer, the same way I get everything else done, TIME MANAGEMENT!

All in all an awesome fun experience that I will definitely do again.

Balance is so important

Time to rock and roll! Exams start this week for me and at the same time I am trying to organize my fund raising event, luckily I have an amazing girlfriend and family always willing to help out. Life is all about balance, but funny how sometime somethings need to take priority and a shift in balance is necessary to achieve your goals. For me right now my business is taking off and the choice between slowing down and focusing on finishing my studies is daunting. But I have learned quite early from my father that "sometimes you do what you have to do, to do what you want to do."
